Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

People often reach out when something doesn’t feel sustainable anymore—emotionally, relationally, or internally. You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything figured out. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or curious about understanding yourself more deeply, therapy can be a supportive place to begin.

What is your approach to therapy?

My work is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in understanding the nervous system, attachment patterns, and lived experience. Rather than focusing on “fixing” symptoms, we work to make sense of what your mind and body have learned over time and how those patterns show up in your life and relationships. Therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced with care.

What can I expect in a first session?

The first session is a space to slow down, talk about what’s bringing you in, and get a sense of how we might work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. My priority is helping you feel safe, understood, and supported as we begin.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. I work with couples who feel stuck in conflict, distance, or recurring patterns. Relationships can be deeply challenging, especially when past experiences and nervous system responses collide. Couples therapy focuses on understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, strengthening emotional safety, and creating more honest and connected ways of relating.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions, depending on availability and fit. We can discuss what works best for you during the consultation process.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance participation varies and can change. If you have questions about insurance, private pay, or superbills, please reach out and we can discuss options together.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work focused on deeper patterns and healing. We’ll regularly check in to make sure therapy continues to feel meaningful and supportive.

How do I get started?

You can reach out through the contact page to schedule a consultation. From there, we’ll explore whether working together feels like a good fit and discuss next steps.
